Quartz possesses the characteristics of bright colors, rich patterns, structural durabilities, and simple maintenance. So the kitchen countertop that makes with quartz stone is highly recommended by consumers. Although quartz is an advanced material, it only requires easy wipes to keep it clean after installation. Apart from understanding the ways and tools to clean quartz countertops, you also have to find out which methods and tools are not available. It is suggested to use a soft cloth or sponges with some mild cleaner to wipe the surface of the quartz countertop every day. What’s more, do not apply any rough cleaning tools and corrosive cleaners to avoid damaging the sealing layer on the surface of quartz countertops.

For Common Stains & Spills

Soak the cleaning cloth in the combined solution of cleaner and warm water. Advisably, use a mild detergent instead of the complex one to clean the quartz countertop. In general, you’d better utilize a moderate cleaner without astringents or corrosive chemical components. That’s because quartz stone will be destroyed by repeatedly contacting with these substances. The resin sealing layer on the surface of the quartz countertop plays an important role. It can prevent daily dust, dirt, stains, and mildew from harming the countertop.

Notice

Warm water is more efficient at dissolving all kinds of stubborn stains than cold water.

How to Clean Stain from VIVA Quartz Countertop:

For Specific Stains

1.Scrape the Solidified and Hardened Dirt

Sometimes only water and cleaner are unable to remove the dry and hard dirt. When that happens, you can employ a plastic scraper to scrape off the dirt. Remember to soften the dirt first by spraying warm water over it .Then scrape the dirt very hard, and the it will fall away from the surface of the quartz countertop.

Notice

To remove the stubborn dirt, you only can use flexible plastic scrapers or soft sponges. As mental scrapers may damage the quartz stone. Be careful when starting to scrape, don’t do it so hard, otherwise you will harm the quartz stone and cause tiny scratches on its surface. As time goes by, the wear will become worse. If the area of the dirt is large, you can soak the kitchen paper with hot water, and then spread it on the dirt.

2.Use Vinegar Solution to Remove the Stubborn Dirt

Food particles and minerals in hard water can gradually accumulate on the appearance of quartz countertops, which can result in forming a thin film. If you upkeep the countertop with a soft cloth as usual, the film still sticks to the quartz countertop. On this occasion, the best way to wipe off that film is to make use of a little distilled white vinegar.

At first, you should pour an equal volume of white vinegar and water into a watering can. Secondly, sprinkle slight water on the entire surface of the countertop. Thirdly, use a soft sponge to scrub the countertop. At this moment, you can see that the countertop immediately becomes shiny and clean without any scratches. If there is no white vinegar, you are supposed to replace it with an equal amount of hydrogen peroxide.

Vinegar is a useful natural cleaner, but some people think its smell is too strong. However, you can add a few drops of lemon juice or your favorite essential oil into the vinegar-water solution. In this way, your whole room will be filled with a pleasant fragrance.

3.Apply Special Cleaning Products to Erase the Resistant Stains

If the surface of the countertop is attached with troublesome dirt of chewing gum, ink, or glue, you can get rid of them with oily cleaner. Two steps are as follows.
